A Geek In the Closet
Ever experience computer problems while you were working at home and wished you had a computer geek hiding in your closet? Or better yet, your own IT dept?
There's a new network marketing company called Automatic Geek that provides you with computer help when you need it most. All you do is contact them through a special toolbar on your computer and a chat box pops up. You tell them your problem and they will fix it for you.
They also have free software and tutorials to help you accomplish tasks and projects that you need to do. You can also opt for the "Premium" level where you can get help with specific software issues or one-on-one training.
My Automatic Geek Review
This is not that unusual but the problem I found is that they are not telling you what they are doing when they are doing it. If you don't know anything about computers, I suppose that wouldn't matter. But if you are even a little bit knowledgable, this can be disturbing to see them make changes to your computer.
For instance, I had them look at a problem with my video software. They ended up changing all the defaults on my video and audio players and they haven't worked the same since.
All this to say, be careful when using this service. There are actually other online pc help programs that can do the same thing and are not part of a network marketing model.
